    Forums button

    I know it changed a while ago, but when clicking on the forums button from the Hexus homepage it opens a new tab. Why was this changed? It is easy to middle click to force it to open in a new tab, but it is not easy to force the page to open in the same tab.

    Is it not much more convenient to have the forums button open the forums in the current tab?

    If you are in the forums it opens in the same window.

    If you are anywhere else on the site it opens in a new window - this is intentional and network-wide.

    It is something to do on your side and not Hexus'.

    It will be something to do with your browser settings, as far as I know you can't do anything like that with HTML. (Can't open new tabs, can open a new window though).

    On the Hexus home page I find that the Forums open in the same window if you click the link before the page has completed loading.

    That does somewhat defeat the point of the homepage though! I mainly use the homepage (and the links from it) and the forums, having the forums open in a new window (or tab due to my browser settings) is annoying. Maybe there is some option somewhere in firefox and TabMixPlus that can force it to open in the same window/tab.

    Preferences / Tabs:

    Force links that open new windows to open in:
    * the same tab/window as the link
    * a new tab

    Isn't that what you want? (I use the second one personally, but it looks as though you want the first)

    I use (and want) the second option, but was wondering if you can set custom options, so for example while browsing this site it opens in the same window, but all others it makes a new tab.

    Does it annoy nobody else with it opening in a new tab/window when you click the forums button at the top of the page?
