Question Problem with 9800pro DVI-D out to HD Plasma

Hi there, anyone give me a tip on what to try to connect my ATI 9800pro DVI-D to my PC RGB 1 (DVI-D) on mu hitachi 42pd7200 Plasma screen? The screen stays black and i dont get a picture? It's the right DV-D male to DVI-D male cabble that fits both slots perfectly.
I'm also having trouble launching the catalst control centre as nothing happens when i launch it...
Al the latest drivers etc are installed.

    cheers guys,
    Dave

On the Catalyst CC front, do you have the .Net Framework installed - cause you're screwed w/out it?

The connection sounds fine but have you selected the right input source on the plasma?

yup i've installed .Net 2.0 manually but automatic updates are set up anyway so it asked to repair it and i said yes.
I've also checked it's the correct input source. I don't know if it's some of the ATI software not working as i tried to download Catalyst Control Centre but it wont launch! Do you think i could make it work through some settings in that if it did?
Also how can i make it launch now as it used to fine when i didn't need it and before i uninstalled it to save system resources...
    cheers mate,
    Dave

    Question 1.1 .Net?

just noticed that the link you sent me to was the 1.1 vers of .Net. I have 2.0 does this make any difference?

    cheers mate,
    Dave

v1.1 and v2 coexist, different apps use them independently, u may need both plus the associated hotfixes

The Catalyst Control Centre REQUIRES that 1.1 be installed. It is not sufficient to have v2.

You may need to reinstall CCC now that you have the framework installed.

    will do..

ok mate, i'll try that tonight...
Is the best way to do this uninstall it (CCC) from add/remove programs then download it separately from the drivers on the ATI website, then install it again independantly?

    many thanks,
    dave

If it were me, I'd ensure that I had the latest driver pack including CCC, then uninstall and reinstall the drivers and CCC.
