disk cleanup help

hi guys

hope this is in right section

but basically my problem is that whenever i try to run disk cleanup it uses 100% cpu usage and jus seems to stay stuk on that and even after 5 mins theres no change in status

is there any ideas as to what may be causing this problem??

i have windows xp pro

an extreme amount of crap may cause this, and if you tell it to compress files and folders it will hang for hours if you have a lot of crap laying about !

does it actually open or just hang while loading ?

maybe walk away for an hour, then come back ?

it jus hangs

but its ok founda fix for it

was sumthin to do with editin a reg file

workin fine now
