Quote to replace key on Sony laptop

I'm looking for an official quote from anyone out there prepared to fix a single key (F2 BTW) on my Vaio laptop. The key has completely broken away from the membrame. I think there was something attaching the key to the membrame but this has been lost. I've got the key though.

By official quote I mean a properly prepared job as it's for insurance purposes.

chance is your going to need a new keyboard, and it would cost less than someone trying to fix it, for it o break within weeks !

just get a quote from the UK Sony support people, thats the easiest option for insurance purposes?

They probably wont do a quote to fix a single key and if they do the price will in fact reflect the cost of a new keyboard... You could probably get the spring part (usually a pair of crossed over plastic legs that snap into place) from someone who repairs laptops and has a broken keyboard or two lying around.

Well I supose it is useful spam, although by the time you have bought the keytop, and then paid postage etc from the States it is probably cheaper to get the keyborad replaced (or buy a trashed unit and salvage something from that.)
