MS Office 2003 Help Error

I've tried to select a help topic from within an MS Office application and when I do the help window briefly opens and then closes itself. If I reselect that topic or another one, I get 'ERROR STARTING MS HELP.' This affects all my Office applications, it also doesn' show up in the error log either so I'm stumped. I tried a detect and repair but that hasn't rectified it. Should I do a reinstall?

I don't know if this is a coincidence but I've installed Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 and MS Office 2003 SP2 recently, however, I can't pin it down to exactly what might it be affecting it. I've run Registry Mechanic 5.0 and CCleaner to check the Registry and all seem fine.

Can anyone suggest any solutions?

I would try a reinstall myself if the repair function hasn't worked.

Hi, I was just wondering if you had checked that there was not any updates on the Microsoft site. Perhaps one of them might solve the problem. Its worth a try before you reinstall, as you may get the same problem again.
