    DVD woes :(

Ive had this problem for a while now, and really cant figure out what is wrong, basically i cant watch DVD's on my pc, which is annoying since ive got a 20 inch widescreen moniter and a nice 5.1 set to back them up, basically my pc will play cd's, and games etc, but when i put a DVD in, what ever program i use, i.e media player, real player, intervideo dvd player etc etc, i always get the same problem, its reli laggy, almost slo-mo like?
    Any help wud be apreciated
    Thanks

is your DVD player on the secondary channel with no hard drives? it's best to keep it as the secondary master and the hard drive on the primary channel if you are using IDE.

it could also just be a dirty DVD drive

I've had the same problem for ages. It happened before and I fixed it with a simple firmware upgrade but its started again . Will it write DVDs?
    With love and many thanks,
