    ACER N50 Compact flash card

I have an ACER N50 PDA and would like to get a compact flash card to expand the memory. It has two slots but one is used for the sd card. The other is a type 2 slot, can anyone tell me if I need an adapter to use the type 1 flash card as the type 2 are harder to get hold of and more expensive. The manual and acer website are unhelpful!!

    Cheers

    Apo

    And the answer is...

(Yes, if you can't be bothered with the history lesson!)
    AMD X2 @ 2.6Ghz, X1800XL @ 540/600

a type 2 card is slightly thicker but otherwith pretty much identical to a type 1 card.

Unless it is very high capacity, there are very few CompactFlash memory cards using the type 2 size. These are mainly used for non-memory cards.... or the old IBM Microdrives.
