Ram Question

I should know the answer to this I am sure but anyways here goes....

I have 2 x 512MB of ram in my system at the moment running in dual channel

I want to purchase a further 2 x 1Gb sticks which are exactly the same type speed etc will they still run in dual channel?

They *should* work but mixing memory can often result in problems. Windows XP can't use anything over 2GB anyway.

So you can... apparently standard XP has issue seeing more than 3GB though...

The answer I think is yes they will still run in dual channel.

I recently added a pair of ram to my existing pair and now run 4 x 512mb Dual channel.

Yeah I think its slightly different with the ram I was looking at being 2 x 512mb and 2 x 1GB sticks but its ok I have done as you have and now have 4 x 512mb
