these are pci-e and 9800's never came in pci-e methinks. so only 1 or 2 motherboards would let you switch freely between the two
however the 9800 was a high end part for the generation before the x1300, which is a low end part. so would wipe the floor with it for the majority of tasks (possible all of them?)
also, hypermemory, which is to be avoided like syphilis if you like to game

Thanks madduck i have a asrock mobo which has pci-e and agp.
glad i put "1 or 2 motherboards" because the asrocks were exactly what i was referring to
