Another AMD 720 BE here
Built my new PC a couple of months back, so got an i7 2600k overclocked to 4.6GHz
Current CPU is an AMD Phenom 2 955BE
Current CPU: i7-930
Current CPU (Laptop): Intel Core i5 480m @ 2.67 Ghz - Most used
Current CPU (Desktop): AMD Athlon 64 3200+ (s754)
Current CPU: i7 920 2.67GHz, great competition!
I'm using an Intel I5-2400 CPU
Well, out of our PCs at home that I built the latest used an Intel Pentium G630. Prior to that all the systems I built had AMD cpus: starting with the old K6-2 then Athlons eg, 3500, x2 4800, x2 5600, Phenoms: x3 720, x4 965. AMD have obviously lost momentum with their cpu development. Buldozer must have cost them dearly. It is a strange architecture and requires software developers to have specific knowledge in order to maximise its performance and I don't think that will happen with AMD's comparatively small market share. So I think Intel have it on all accounts - value and performance - even the Sandy/Ivy bridge motherboards enter at very competitive prices.
So it will be interesting to see what this A6 system can do - be good to upgrade my Telly PC
Current CPU - Intel i5 750
Current CPU: Intel Q6600
Current CPU : AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition @ 3.1Ghz stock
If I won it would replace my parents Intel Atom D510 (dual-core) 1.66 GHz
Currently using an I5-760!!
Current CPU: Intel C2D E8400.
