... Yup and me, I'm nearing the end and I'm just slogging through now, it's ok but could have been so much more... Not quite as pish as Timeshift though!

What we share with everyone is glum, and dark...
Ah, glad you've mentioned Timeshift. Bad, is it?
Grand. Thanks for the heads up.
First impressions seem to be pretty good. Visually the character models and environments are pretty detailed. Voice acting is also decent. Thing is though, been playing now for around an hour and still running around outside which is quite literally a wash of grey, quite depressing really. Areas indoors so far have literally been just tunnels and a large room with a lit bank of computers. Doesn't really fit the scenario that has been set. I was expecting a large ancient type ruin that you would have to work your way into gradually uncovering what is going on. Just feels like something is missing.
Team AI can be quite poor at times with teamates running ahead of you and getting themselves killed (Worst one for this is the ninja woman). Moreso with the creatures were you have to hit the yellow bits to make them explode which can take you out instantly if you are to close. They don't have the sense to back off before the explosion. Dying is pretty hard to do, Team of 7, one of you gets killed and you just walk up to them and heal them whilst the rest carry on the firefight.
Headshots mean nothing at all, unless you are using the sniper rifle (Not even higher damage with a standard weapon). I have emptied full clips into one of the faster creatures heads at point blank range and they die as the clip is hitting empty.
There is no ammo or extra weapons to pick up, this is replenished I am guessing at the checkpoints scattered about. Noticed ammo restored to full after a load of the next area.
I will play it through but it will hit the shelf after that and probably never played again I am thinking. Unless it really picks up and draws my interest. Not holding out any hopes though at the minute as it just seems to be plain bland.
If you are going to spend some money on a new game I would say go for The Witcher. Action RPG all the way and really interesting story with elements of wish I had done that different looking back!
the demo level is what you were after, from teh sound of it: Like some kind of medieval arabic sewer tunnels. Actually put me in mind of the Dark Jedi tombs from Jedi Academy (the level where you're running along paths by precipices) but with cool graphics.
Not too impressed with the world war 1 level...
