    lol, explain to me how I can run my existing windows applications.

    Linux has some serious problems for novice users as well - A lot of people can buy a piece a hardware for there Windows PC and install it, In linux you start to get into compling etc which is useless for most people.

    And tbh I really dont care about having a open source system, I would prefer to see several closed OS's that could work with a standard application format (yeah Java is slow) which would provide competition and a proper price for an OS.

    wow, I wonder how much they paid a consultancy firm to tell them that making something cheaper means the demand will increase?

    Someone doing GCSE economics, or even business studies (FTW?!) could have told them that!
