Previews - MSI Wind notebook: is it the Eee-beater we've been waiting for?

I just read the article on The Reg: http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2008/07/08/scc_countdown/ and I think I will now wait for the reviews of the Gigabyte M912. The main reason is that it has a 1280x768 touch-screen!

Why isn't anyone talking about the Acer Aspire One? It is out on the 25th, has decent specs and the killer is that it has a sim card slot and a spare pci-express port for an HSDPA upgrade (due in Q4). It has the same sized keyboard as the wind, but the whole package is smaller than a wind, and it is very inexpensive as compared to the Eee 901. The only flaw that I can see is that it has a small battery, but they're releasing an upgrade to that in the coming months. Oh, and it doesn't have bluetooth..but that is easily fixed for £5 and one of those micro USB adapters, if you really need it.

I don't really see the use of these Netbooks without HSDPA. The price of HSDPA access is dirt cheap now and it is 1000x better than wi-fi if you live in a good 3G coverage area. I work in London and I find it a pain to find a working wi-fi AP, but with the HSDPA modem I never have to worry about it, and having it built-in would be perfect.

OK lets talk about the Aspire One.. give me some links!! I can't remember what it looks like. Atom again? Screen? If you have a 3G phone with net access do you need ANOTHER account for the HSDPA for your netbook?

My bro wants my Eee so I might get another toy!
