Why can't they adopt the PS3 style of HDD use, where the customer is able to purchase any 2.5" SATA drive and then insert it in the console.
Just look at the current price for 40-120 Gb 2.5" HDD's and you can see that they can be picked up for practically peanuts now compared to what they were this time last year, but I expect they've done this so their losses on the consoles aren't as much.
360 accessories in general are immensely expensive and one of the main things that put me off. The wifi adapter, HDDs and wireless headset are just far too much for what you get.
Microsoft has said that this price cut hasn't been announced for the UK.

I heard that play.com have Pros on at £160 right now. That'll probably be shifting old stock before the new model turns up.
