Yeah but the higher capacity will eventually knock the smaller drives down in price - Soon my dream of an ultra-cheap 1tb hard drive for storage and a 128gb ssd for my os and games will become a reality!
Dream on. The 80GB Intel SSD is currently £436 on Scan, they don't even list a price for the 160GB version but I'd imagine it would be almost double. Even if Intel pass on savings from moving to the 34nm process and there are some price cuts throughout the year I reckon it'll still cost nearly a grand. As funke_munke says though, prices should come down for the smaller capacity drives hopefully.
