Re: News - Xbox 360 RRoD "behind us," say Microsoft

that users are suffering with the Red Ring of Death issue, which renders the Xbox 360 consoler inoperable
Didn't know it was so dangerous. Surprised Microsoft haven't had a lot more manslaugter charges brought against them

Well, it's not lethal, as such - they just sit there completely motionless and unresponsive to stimuli, occasionally dribbling; quite a lot of partners haven't even noticed and some say they prefer it...

I still don't trust them. I'm never going to buy a XBOX360 purely because every other week someone I know says their XBOX360 has RROD'd.

    Ohhh,Gits.

What exactly is it they have sussed how to fix? I'm dieing to know. It's soooo obvious the 360 is a cross between a toaster and a hairdryer. How have they bodged it to get it working. I'd love to believe that Jaspers will solve the problem. But they still produce heat and the crappy cooling design is still there.

It's shocking that it's taken this long to remedy - if indeed they have solved the problem....

Seen how hot the ps3 runs?

They aren't exactly cool running devices. Only difference is the PS3 has space for a big fan as opposed to a couple of little ones (and probably better fittings to prevent warping)
