Re: News - New Zeebo videogames console launch backed by top publishers

Hmm, i dont see how this is good so am i missing something?. £135 here without tax(direct convert) and you can get a 360 for less than that, this is more like an arcade system that isnt cheap at all. Id rather buy a 360 or a wii and get the arcade games, best of both worlds. If its meant for developing countries then how are they meant to download the games(quickly)? Alot dont have internet let alone good downloading speeds.

Am i missing something really important?

This has fail plastered all over it, even the name 'Zeebo'

I can just imagine a bunch of marketing execs thinking "How can we make this catchy, edgy and exciting to kids"

Zeebo sounds too much like Bebo.

Hmm is this a console aimed at 2nd/3rd world countries and regions? :-\ needs to be alot cheaper.

Re: News - New Zeebo videogames console launch backed by top publishers

Been reading up on this - apparently a Wii costs >$1000. I can see why they think this may do well in Brazil but everywhere with a sane tax policy - No I don't think so!
    Trust

    Laptop : Dell Inspiron 1545 with Ryzen 5500u, 16gb and 256 NVMe, Windows 11.

Yeah it's the tax that has bumped up the price. I think the price will be way less than this when launched in other countries.

Can't do a direct convert due to Brazils tax system

it would be ~£50 ish give or take a bit

and it is much easier to implement HSDPA etc in developing countries than a system like the UKs (every house wired)

edit: i like the fact that they list it as a good thing to weigh less than a 360 power brick...
