more MSI boards promo offer available on OCUK @ 2pm
Entered CC details at 12.44pm for a GD65, just went to click proceed, but checked price just before to ensure having read others comments....had gone up to £129...gutted. I could so easily have clicked proceed as it has said £65 all the way through...

Same ^^
well OCUK forum say 2pm, but I would go there beforehand, because these boards disappear within minutes of them being put up, particularly the GD80
Scan are scamming.
They declined my valid card, then when I called they told me I'd need to pay the full price, even though I have an order confirmation at the lower price (i.e the order has been accepted so is legally binding), When I asked for the agents name he hung up on me...
Not going to bother; if I take the splurge before Q1 next year I think I'll be going 1366 instead..
Nope. It's how so many companies have got into trouble in the past. If they accept my order then they have accepted my offer to buy at this price, ie this is no longer an invitation to treat, I have offered to pay £86 odd, and they have accepted this offer. It's first week contract law.
Well, fair play to Scan, I wrote a grotty mail to them, and was very surprised to get a phone call back explaining the situation (I had been pipped to the post - ho hum!). So yeah, gutted I missed out (OCUK here I come...), but I am genuinely pleased and impressed that Scan took the time to call me about it.
Roo
This special price limited time promotions are always a mess.
And just how many are going to end up on ebay
They work though, how many of us have actually had the time to read a proper review on the motherboard we have just bought (I decided to sort the CPU out later when there is more time to make a considerd purchase)
With regard to scan, from their email they only seem consider orders unconditional once payment has been taken (lawful? but thats there stance). But it might be worth having a bitch about it on the scan fourm as it hardly seems a fair way of doing it.
I think that you will find that their terms & conditions preclude that - they all cottoned on & wised up after seeing others caught out.
