I do like the Bravia's, but the £100-£250+ premium they carry over other high quality TV makes them very hard to justify!
They are very nice though. And it makes your living room look a lot tidier without Freesat / Freeview boxes sitting all over the place.
It's usually a retailer discretion/promotion thing iirc - my Pioneer came with a 5 year warranty, but only if you bought it at a retail store

Havent the Viera's had this for some time ?
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
Yup, for a couple of years iirc

And Japan !
My company has offices in Japan, and recently someone from there came to the UK for a week. When she saw the prices of Sony TVs in UK retailers, she was on to them trying to get them to quote for delivery to Japan!
Can you imagine go into your local branch of Currys and ask them about delivering a 46" Plasma telly to Tokyo.
I think the main reason for the price difference is the very strong Yen and weak pound.
