Apparently 26cm long ! The article I linked to above worked it out from the length of the PCIE connector shown in the pictures.
    Society's to blame,
    Or possibly Atari.

Oooh, I want one of these (probably the 5850) but is it worth buying 1x 5850 or 2x4870's since it looks like they will be roughly the same price :/

I am still on my 8800GT. Can NVIDIA and AMD stop releasing cards every week? CRYSIS runs just fine on max.

Hmmmph - I had one of those (on a P4 admittedly) and Crysis ran like a brown dog.

Re: News - AMD's ATI Radeon HD 5870 pictured, dated

Depends on the resolution, I would guess he's on a low res such as 1280 x 1024, higher resolutions such as 1680 x 1050 would run like a dog with no legs on that card with settings at high.

The 260 was different, the GTS250 was the same archtecture with a few tweaks and faster clocks etc

Anandtech have an interesting article that suggests what i assume is the HD5870 will be able to run 6 monitors simultaneously and give playable framerates at a resolution of 7680x3200 although it's dependant on the game (they used Dirt 2). Left 4 Dead ran at 7680x1600 though (3 2560x1600 monitors side by side).
