Sounds very impressive, if you can play WOW at 7680 x 3200 and get over 80 fps with the details maxed I wonder what fps you can get on a 30" screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1600, should make an interesting review.Originally Posted by AnandTech

CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

If they have cut the power down (170W on full for the 5870 apparently) but bumped the shader count to 1600, then these cards offer acceptional performance per watt compared to previous cards - a factor of 2 less in terms of flops/watt
Exceptionally acceptable.
Or acceptably exceptional![]()
Soo....
All we're getting out of that big unveiling on the aircraft carrier is showing off a feature that only a tiny minority would ever use?
4870x2 already plays it fine at 2560x1600 maxed out
Multi monitors sounds good but for any game where you control a character or vehicle in the centre of your screen, you would probably want 3 displays so that you don't get a split down the center.....which starts to get a bit silly IMO

Well if the first statement turns out to be true, which would be a massive feat to be honest, and considering the pricepoint of the GTX 295, then I guess AMD will milk the 5870 until the nvidia 300 series come out....a card that AMD hopes will dethrone NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 295 as the single-card performance king.
