Sounds good, but also sounds expensive, nvidia need to prove they still have what it takes to develope from the ground up. Not just re-badge what has gone before.
So ATI managed to hard launch the 5870/5850. NVidia often (and ATI sometimes) soft launch products, that is, detail the product, offer some review samples, in advance of retail availability. But now nVidia are doing a softer than soft launch? Pre-announcing the technology before pre-announcing the product before announcing retail availability of anything?
Sounds like it's going to be really late.
Hold your horses we still have 2 days of GTC left.
I'm excited, and yes i'm willing to pay the premium price for a premium card. If it performs better, and has more features than a 5870, then it should cost more. They are releasing a full line of GT300 cards including a GTX 380/360 and GTS 350/340. I'm excited to see what insues.
go read hardocp.com then ChuvelxD.
Kyle isnt impressed and is sure its going to be mid 2010.
He isnt the only one and given the news that is floating around and NV's CEO's own words? Its going to be late.
