So much for (expecting) a better deal with Orange, this works out worse than O2's overpriced packages.
They had said they were unlikely to be much different in price to O2 however they did say they would look to add value. TBH the prices are pretty much identical and i can't see much added value, perhaps Apple have more influence over pricing than we are aware.
My current Orange deal has just ended and the addition of the iphone to orange's line-up had encouraged me to stay with them. however due to the poor quality of the network both where i live and work i will most likely jump ship to O2 now.
lol @ 24 month contracts.
£1460 a year for 2 years for that!!
no chance!
fair usage on data..pants
i reckon this song goes some way to expressing the dissapointment felt after the Orange announcement on iphone.
WARNING ADULT CONTENT!!
Exactly, Data usage unlimited, which lower down then limits data usage to 750mb a month, so the unlimited usage is limited with a actual specified limit !!!
Pants.
Was hoping to switch from O2 for the better coverage but am so unimpressed, especially the paltry data limit. Looks like Apple really do set the terms for carriers, shame for us consumers but you can't blame them I suppose (although I still will!)
.
I already own an iPhone, I wanted to upgrade to the 3gs.
I've owned countless phones over the years and worked in the mobile business for 5 yrs and the iPhone is the best handset I've ever owned, it has some really poor qualities that should never have been allowed in a production handset but it's made up for in other areas and (overall) it's a great device (for me).
im so weak
upgraded my orange phone to the iphone yesterday.... now have to endure waiting till tue, at least, for it to arrive.
still, im grinning like a cheshire cat
Hmmm...seems the 750mb limit on data is pretty poor + no youtube?!
It's looking worse & worse by the hour..

its not limitied to 750mb - they will just monitor usage over the 750mb/month. They havent said they will charge for going over the 'limit', so im not too bothered - yet.
If Orange said it was limited to 750mb a month, then they can charge for going over it... i think
