    why not get a 2x480 or 2x5970 then? because you actually don't? two 5850's may be more of an even comparison but you have avoided that one, which is a bit daft - daft guy

    and in other news - scotch bonnet chillies may be hot but they are also kind of sweet could the 470/480 be slightly sweet? time will tell

    3XS SLI 480 OC = £2936
    3XS SLI 285 OC = £2563

    These systems appear to be identical spec aside from the gfx cards.

    (£2936 - £2563) / 2 = £186
    GTX285 = £280
    GTX480 = £280 + £186 = £466

    probably need to factor in some kind of "builing tax" but cant see it being much.. i would say ouch but really that pretty much spot on the projected price from a certain Mr. Demerjian's site. up to the numbers to make it worthwhile now

    Re: News - This evening's entertainment: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480

    I assumed the build costs would have been factored in to each system already, and the difference from a 285 to 480 build would not include any extra.

    The prices I listed are including vat.

    mmm.. not so sure they wouldn't "top it up a bit" for a higher spec part, if only slightly.
