800x480 would be an epic fail. I'm not up-to-date on what a 600MHz CPU can and can't do to comment on that though. On a 7" tablet/phone I'd want at least 1280x720.If you were hoping for a speedy 1GHz processor like Snapdragon or Hummingbird, you're likely to be disappointed. According to Engadget, the ViewPad 7 is actually a rebadged OlivePad which means that it comes with a 600MHz ARM processor and a screen resolution of "only" 800x480 which is quite low for a 7" display.
And for comparison, Archos just announced 5 net Android 2.2 tablets and PMPs.
