Haven't they sold millions already?

Yes, they have sold millions already. If they advertise this offer well, then they might be able to shift another lot of people from xp/vista.

They are going to have to do better than that to grind me down.
They should give everyone who has suffered with vista a free upgrade.
I just dont understand why people hate Vista so much!
My family (home users) and I (enthusiast) have had very few problems. It's nicer and easier to use than XP.

Based on the fact that business users still don't want to change to Windows 7 (understandably), there can't be that many actually using Vista...

Vista = Worst business OS ever, I know tons of businesses that avoided it like the plague.
Cant say I liked my 64bit version at home much more.
I've only seen one multinational using Vista: Chevron.
It's actually really nice to not have to use XP in an office environment. I'm really starting to hate XP these days.
Vista got a bad rep mostly because people tried to run it on hardware not up to the task. That might be their fault, it might be the manufacturer's fault, it might be Microsoft's fault. But it's not Vista's fault, and it's a superior OS to XP in a huge number of ways if you have a half-decent machine (read: 2GB+ RAM, primarily). It is hardly the abomination you make it out to be.
