They need to ditch the blue PCB - it just doesn't look right on a graphics card

for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

Re: News - Gigabyte aims to corner UK graphics-card market

They've used blue pcbs for a fairly long time and I prefer colourful components as it gives your pc a bit more variety. Tbh I think Gigabyte are the best hardware manufacturer around, they always use good quality components and led the way in eco friendly products, even on low end products. I used to like ASUS but they got complacent due to being market leaders. Next graphics card I will definitely consider Gigabyte strongly, though of course availability at your favourite retailer and price have to be good.

Inclined to agree. Only have a Gigabyte motherboard, but it's top notch, especially considering what I paid for it.

Also, I quite like the blue flourishes. Goes really nicely with the silver/chrome chipset heatsinks

A Blue PCB is better than the red PCB I have on my 5870. At least a blue PCB will match the rest of the PCBs in my PC.

But a red PCB makes sense as its ATI.

Also, I'm not knocking Gigabyte - my P45 board i had of theirs will forever hold a place in my tech heart - solid board, solid overclocking and never moaned about anything.

Re: News - Gigabyte aims to corner UK graphics-card market

Well I hope they do cards aimed at the HTPC market. Low profile and passive is what floats my boat. Can be double or even tripple width, I don't care

All my own systems are Gigabyte based. One Intel and two AMD.

Re: News - Gigabyte aims to corner UK graphics-card market

Gigabyte were the only manufacturer that bothered to make a PASSIVE Radeon 4850! Sure it still needed good airflow, but I distinctly hope that they try this again with the Radeon 6xxx series.
