It's unlikely they will be the same price... Although I'll bet if the second batch sell well at a reasonable price, say £250, I'm sure they'll keep making them. If they don't sell then they'll jump ship for sure.

I've also heard (in a podcast yesterday) that someone's got a Cyanogen version of Android working on it - in which case maybe the hardware's got some "legs".

A keyboard? Surely that makes the size equivalent to a netbook?

I've seen the Cyanogen version . It boots, but they're still working on the screen drivers - for now, it's k/b control. I don't have a link, youtube it.

On a more fun note, you can overclock the touchpads to 1.7Ghz both cores safely (stable) and 1.9Ghz is possible but for now is unstable. Overclocks produce no increase in heat and almost no decrease jn battery life. There's also a list apps that seriously increase it's speed.

3) I only got lucky getting lots of orders so that I could get my hopes up, then they could all be cancelled to make my life suck arse.

My mate managed to get one (I'm actually playing on it now - it's lush) but there isn't one for me.

Sadly my mother has claimed the second one so no lottery lol. She plans to use it as a digital photo frame and for skype (you can't make this stuff up).

BTW Argos is on my ****list. After giving them my mobile number to receive a text with a reservation code I got 2 spam texts shortly after... Now I find out the reservation code cameronlite gave to me in Kent was apparently invalid even though they extended it successfully. After a complaint email was sent I promptly received a few spam emails to my work address which has never received spam before.

Absolute shambles of a business that will never get my custom again.

HP UK just sent around a mail that they've managed to source some of the last production run of Touchpads for sale to UK employees who missed out last time. Mostly the 32GB version and the pricing is pretty keen.

Unfortunately, any HPer who already bought one previously is barred from applying for the new tranche - so I can't get any more. :'(

I figure that this is maybe good news for the folks who've got active orders with other UK based companies still to be fulfilled, which is why I mention it.

Just received my order today, though I only got my despatch email this morning. Seems the accessories came abck into stock early and HP started shipping orders yesterday.
