Agreed SGS2 seems better that the iPhone 4S... but for me Windows Phone 7 is top dog!!

There's a lot of people in here saying that the SGS2 is better than the iPhone 4S, but no-one's justifying that statement.

In what way is it actually better?

In my opinion, the price of the 4S is justified by the inclusion of iOS, the rock solid stability of the OS (had my iPhone 4 a year today and only experienced one crash) and the fact that the phone isn't some way to being a small laptop..

The Samsung Galaxy S2 is a fantastic phone. It is very quick, the UI is very smooth and it has a decent camera and screen too compared to many other Android phones.

I think it's a toss up between the S2 and the 4S - thing is will you buy, or upgrade to it?

I have just preordered the 64GB Black version, I currently have the 3G and have had it since day one, so I have skipped 2 generations.

Not a chance. Why pay double for roughly the same hardware but with a ton of restrictions?

So many good android phones out there and if you go HTC you get sense which smooths the rough edges off of android very nicely.

I loved my iPhone 3GS, and am a big fan of iOS... however I was overdue for an upgrade, waited for new iPhone announcement, and have just signed a 2 year contract on a fantastic Samsung Galaxy S2. No regrets so far.

No, I didn't mean it literally. Its a way of saying... If I now buy an i7 5000 (which wont come out in 2 yrs. time but lets say Intel offered a rare one) will be cheaper than this.

    Where is this poll then?

If here, then no, I don't want a smartphone. If I did it would be this one, but I don't.

Re: News - Question of the week: will you be buying an iPhone 4S?

    iPhone 4S? Nope.

I voted "none of the above".

I thought about "Never had a smartphone, never will", but while right now that's how I feel, it's 'cos I've got no need for one. If that changes, so will that decision.

If I were to buy a smartphone, it'd probably be some variant of android, but right now, even that's not on.

Three have a good deal on. The 16GB iPhone 4S is £99 on The One Plan @ £35/month for 2 years. Quidco cashback... £109! Pretty awesome considering the tariff.
