No.
It doesn't look any better than my newly purchased SG2, and there'd be no way on this earth I could get one for the 15 quid a month I'm paying for my Samsung.
So more expensive and worse... yeah, think I'll give it a miss thanks
Yes, I've already ordered mine
Yes, I plan on buying one
Maybe, I'm thinking about it
No, but I'll now pick up a cheaper iPhone 3
No, I'm all about Android
No, Windows Phone is my future
No, I'll never let go of my BlackBerry
Never had a smartphone, never will
None of the above
No.

Would of chosen "None of the above" had I been allowed to vote.
I have an Android device at present but that doesn't dictate what I'll buy next - I haven't invested much into their ecosystem to have built up any loyalty. I'll switch if my requirements are better met elsewhere but as yet, I've no need to.
No.
Simple answer. There you go. Gonna stick with my desire until contract expires, then go for an HTC Titan or whatever is equivalent in April next year.
Though I must admit I'm looking forward to iOS 5 on my iPad 2, and if iCloud and calendar sync, lists, etc, work well, I MIGHT be tempted to wait for the iPhone 5.
I have not previously had an iPhone. From having played with a selection of friends' phones, I actually prefer the 3g to the 4...
****ing **** O2. found out they wont do pre orders for this and you gotta que up next friday to get it. what a load of farse when Vodafone and others are taking pre orders. bloody marvellous. Trying to persuade my wife to tell O2 to stick it and for her to move to another network.
Not allowed to vote! What?
Nope, dull phone, dull launch. It's 6 months too late. God help the suckers who get talked into a 24 month contract at stupid pounds per month...
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
With due respect, are you a mental?
My wife has a 3G, had to bump it down to 3.summat as the newer OS updates bog it down badly, using it now compared to my 4 ishows you how slow it is in comparison, I also prefer the look of the 4 but of course that last one is just personal opinion unlike the speed comparison
Not an Apple fan, too restrictive. I get very little actual use out of my current smartphone, N97 Mini, screen is just too small to read and its not really that great a phone (big step up from SE T610 tho). It's extremely good for texting and making calls tho
I will be looking at Android phones when upgrade time comes.
(also can't vote btw, someone broke Hexus )
Ditto for me (except July for my end date) although WinMo looks good too. Don't like the 4 family look, plus there's quite a few technically better 'droid phones available on cheaper price plans, (although in the 4S's defence it would seem that a lot of the iPhone contracts include teathering, whereas the 'droid ones don't - dumb!).
NO particular reason to buy one. If it were dual- or triple- sim I might be more interested.
I gave in an pre ordered mine on Friday night. I looked into the Galaxy S2, the forthcoming Nexus andtje HTC Sensation but the more I read the less impressed I became. These phones all have really big screens but the screen resolution is lower than the iPhone Retina display so can't see the point in them. Another factor against them is that despite having quintillion Ghz mega core CPUs, scrolling on the app pages is very jerky compared to my current 3GS something I knew would just get on my nerves after a while.
Anyways I'm looking forward to getting my new phone!

Beginning by disclosing bias, I just got the galaxy s2, and still have my iPhone 3GS.
To answer your point though, resolution is only as good as the eye's ability to resolve detail - I would argue that something with twice the pixel density of Apple's "retina display" would not be twice as good; resolution therefore is only so useful. In my opinion, there was a definite benefit when screens changed between iPhone 3 and iPhone 4, however i think this current generation is dense enough.
The next benefits however are not about pixel density or resolution, but are about visual improvements as defined by colour & brightness etc, and about power use (ie low power use, low heat generation etc).
When I look at my Samsung, and then glance back at my iPhone, the Apple display looks washed out and dull by comparison (this clearly isn't a fair comparison as they are not the same generation, however they are what I have to hand).
Overall I would ask if any given screen resolution is good enough rather than better than x, y or z, and then look at what else the screen gives you.
