if its a PS3 exclusive, they should prepare themselves for some uber geek rage!
I generally agree with everything in your summary though, the t-shirt is just some joker playing around.
If Half Life 3 was a consoles exclusive it would be eff off virtually ever person who I know who has been interested in it. On top of this why would Valve do such thing if they have Steam?? On top of this the previous Half Life games have sold loads of copies and Half Life 3 would probably not be any different.
I could see HL3 being exclusive to console on the ps3 (I.E. not Xbox or Wii) but i would doubt that they would be completly ps3 exclusive. such a move would destroy all the momentum behind steam if pc players were to be become disenfranchised with valve
Valve recently stated that they do not like exclusives and that they are constantly surprised by which format sells best.

They recently released Steam on the PS3...and they could well use it to jump start the service on the PS3 but on a much larger scale - maybe even replacing the PS Network as the purchasing and streaming model, something which could be quite lucrative for Valve. They dominate the PC market with Steam but consoles are still out of reach for them really. This would give them the foot into the market they could be looking for...
I do think it would be mind numbingly stupid if they made it ONLY for the one console...but it's not like it hasn't happened before.

What valve should do is finally intergrate cross platform multiplayer gaming so ps3 users can face PC users. this could happen with steam!
Wouldn't make any sense at all for Valve to do a PS3 Half Life 3 exclusive. Sony would have to pay them a tonne to make up for the lost PC sales, not to mention the unbelievable bad will it would generate. People would start flocking to Origin just to spite them. I'm pretty sure The Orange Box sold more on PC than on both consoles put together anyway.
That t-shirt looks PhotoShopped. The logo has creases where the t-shirt fabric is flat. The creases in the fabric run horizontally but the logo has creases running at 60 degrees, at approximately 7 o'clock and 11 o'clock. Do I win the mystery prize? Or does my comment result in some sort of libel case?
Good point - although, to be honest, I'm really surprised that this doesn't happen with PC-XBox, both Microsoft products, so surely it's "do-able"? (and at this point, someone'll tell me that it does happen).
Had HalfLife2 etc on the PC and got a demo on the XBox - was not impressed at all with the latter. So, if HL3 is a "console exclusive" then they can count me out as a customer. Although, I'm not that sure I'd necessarily want to get HL3 anyway - HL2 was darned good, but I just couldn't generate any enthusiasm for the later ones, (Portal's good though - got that via an XBox special offer recently).
Actually - there's a question, given I've still got an old (non-Orange Box) version of HL2 etc would this be worth slapping onto the current PC? I seem to remember that it was not bad looking on the last PC I played it on, and my current rig's got a squillion times more graphics and compute power than that had - think I had a GF6800 and Athlon at that time, now I've got GF460 and hex-core PhenomII - so I'm pretty sure I can ramp up all the graphics setting to the max. Sorry if this is off-topic slightly
For a few games, yes. Never very satisfactory however as they ended up auto-aiming the crosshair to give some gamepad/mouse parity.
If you've not played it, yes. The story telling and scenarios are still very good.Actually - there's a question, given I've still got an old (non-Orange Box) version of HL2 etc would this be worth slapping onto the current PC? The word is integrate not intergrate!
sorry but a REAL pet hate.
I suspect there will be a Half-Life 3. If you weigh up rumours of Valve's own hardware, I guess we can see where that's going....
HL3 Released for all platforms, but released first on the {Valve Console}
