Other than the obvious negative aspect of Tesco having all your shopping trend data, by having a clubcard, what other objections do people have?

Personally I dont see it as any worse than what google does, and most poeple use that.

You can't really say "what other objections do people have", since you've discounted the main objection.

It's worse than Google because Google doesn't have your name and address (unless you choose to supply it to them). You could happily use Google through Tor or a VPN and it would still function. A Tesco Clubcard requires your name, address, etc.

I actually never thought of it like that, you've got a fair point. But a lot of people have already registered their details with at least one company so whatever you do I guess you've got the risk of fraud now :/ I think if people can get into PSN they can pretty much get your details from anywhere since Sony boasted it was "unhackable".
