It's a good card and I have nothing against that fact but what I do hate is that entry price tag it's steep. Looks like NVIDIA are going back to old habits on introducing revisions of it's previous series and jumping the price up. I'll stick with my 570.

why would anyone buy an Intel Haswell now or a new graphics card? might as well wait for the new consoles PS4 or the inferior Xbox One.. then Intel and Nvidia will up the game?

No. I have a GTX 680 and am planning on getting a second one on or before boxing day this year. The GTX 680 was $550 on launch I believe and the GK104 is still an exceptionally strong GPU architecture. The reason why I point out price is because you are paying $60-$100 more for only around 10 more frames per second in most games. Now not saying if I sell my current rig I won't get a 780 but I'll wait until the prices drop and this time, I won't be getting a reference card because it's hard to find the same model after 6 months of initial launch.

They are skipping the 'Sea Islands' architecture which was meant to be the 8000 series. So next up is the 'Volcanic Islands' chips, the series may still be called 8000 though.
(Might I add that Volcanic Islands will be 20nm, should be awesome.)

I'm definitely waiting for that then! Although I may buy a low end card to use until they do.

I bought a Titan to replace a somewhat unsatisfactory crossfire experience so in that respect I couldn't be happier. But that being said, the performance of the GTX 780 is a kick in the teeth if you bought a Titan purely for gaming.

No... can't see the point as I already have a decent 670 and that quite happily copes with 1080 resolution. Not knocking the card and if someone has the necessary money burning a hole in their pocket and fancies the card, then that's all fine and good. But not for me.

the EVGA 780 with ACX cooling looks so very sexy that I'm getting tempted, but really it would be frivolous as there's no game to challenge my SLI Classifieds anyway!
