This is a non-story. Games have always been developed on and tested on something like a PC, for at least a decade. It's not much of a secret that demos at tradeshows have run on development kit. I remember seeing workstations way back for the earlier playstations!

I prefer a mouse for those games that NEED precision - problem is that WASD is no where near as intuitive as a left-stick. And personally speaking I find I can game for a LOT longer on a controller-driven game than a keyboard-driven one - with the latter after about an hour the wrist cramps (no off colour comments please) cut in with a keyboard.
Something like Saint's Row 3 isn't nearly as good with a keyboard as a controller/gamepad - the strafing moves are problematic. Then again, there's little to stop me switching from one control method to the other as I need to - so for driving/shooting sections use the joypad, but if I'm sniping someone I can grab the mouse.

You've misread what I said - I wasn't talking about PS4 v's XBone, instead I was talking about the current generation. I thought it was pretty much a given that the PS3 has a better/more-advanced hardware spec than the XBox360?
Flight sim's i tottaly agree with u... and some sports games too ( (footbal, basketball and assorted... not too keen on those so I tend to forget... sorry guys )

now, SR3 with a controller? I really dont get it... how is straffing problematic... aim with mouse, run left or right with either A or D... not sure where it can be better with a controller, but each to each own!! got no hate for you, just for the controllers

Out a few years in a LAN party around my town, we were going crazy playing NFS:U (remember that one?... Awesome game) and there were alot of people playing it on PC's with a remote... tournament time: I beat them all with my keyboard... they werent even challeging... and @ the time there was one of the top 10 players in Portugal of that game... and it just eaten my dust all the 3 laps...

And i allways used a Mazda Miata pimped out to the maxxxxx to run tournaments... not even the mighty Skyline in that game coulda done anything...

i guess i'm just better off with a keyboard mouse combo...

    peace to ya all!!!
