First off it's "MUI" not "Metro".
Secondly, it doesn't look very good to go to someone and say that they then need to purchase additional software to get their shiny new Windows 8 install usable.
Thirdly, MUI nonsense aside, yes there are some nice parts to Windows8, and to those who cast it as "junk" are doing it a massive disservice. Then again, I was glad to see the back of XP - too fragile and not as nice to use as '7. At least '7 doesn't seem to require that 12-18 month "clear off and reinstall" process that seemed to be de rigeur for XP.
