Re: Features - QOTW: PS3, Wii or Xbox 360 - which was best?

Bit of a mixed bag for me, I have all 3 consoles I've used the wii the least (as it was set up on the main TV downstairs and TV took priority over games (until we cut the cord a bout a year back).
I think the most I've used it was last week after picking up Paper Mario.

Between the 360 and PS3 it's a close call, I prefer the Joypad on the 360 (the PS3 stick dead-zones are just a little less sensitive than the 360's) however the D-Pad on the PS3 is a lot better than the 360's floaty effort (especially for 2D fighters).

Most games play almost the same on both consoles but that dead-zone on the joypad means that more often than not the 360 version is slightly better just because of the sticks.

I'm still debating whether I think Live is worth the subscription, as I rarely play online and I only keep it up out of habit and because of Netflix, but as I can also use Netflix on the PS3 I may give it up at the next renewal. PS+ on the other hand with it's free games is really coming into it's own (the 360's attempts to match this are no contest).

Had a Wii (which is it's own category) and an X-box (direct PS3 competition) but I was always peeved at not getting a blu-ray and free online action so I really don't know which is the winner betwen those two - ocerall three probably Wii because I never had multiple units of the others at any time whereas I have two Wiis - upstairs for the kids and all the family downstairs.

XBOX 360 for me, controller is far superior. I own all three and use the Wii the least. PS3 is only used to watch Blu-ray films and on occasion Uncharted series. I've only ever owned 2 XBOX's the original and the Xbox Elite 120Gb and not one has exhibited the RROD issue. Xbox seems far more suited to co-op split screen games which is what I play the most. In terms of multimedia, all 3 consoles don't cut it due to limited codec support, XBMC on raspberry pi for me.

Well, as it's a contest between the PS3, Wii or 360, I'll have to vote for PC

Re: Features - QOTW: PS3, Wii or Xbox 360 - which was best?

For me, probably the Wii. The bowling and golf on Wii Sports were kind of fun. The "heavy" gamers enjoyed Wii fit. Mariokart is the best game in history too...

There was nothing really of interest on the 360 or PS3 that I couldn't play better on the PC. So yep, Wii.

Wii U is better hardware though! Plays Black Ops 2 much nicer than both 360 and the PS3 versions.

Re: Features - QOTW: PS3, Wii or Xbox 360 - which was best?

I have access to all three
    (i have a PS3/360/PC, brother has 360/wii/PC)

PC > all consoles IMHO, just the mod scene alone guarantees victory here.

For consoles though, in my opinion the 360 won by a large margin overall, though the PS3 caught up quickly in the past year and finally levelled the playing field (I am VERY impressed with the free games of PSplus.)
During a time of having spare hardware and me being bored, i tried an SSD in the PS3. Don't know how Sony screwed up their patching/download system so bad, but that upgrade fixed those parts from being excruciatingly slow to bearable... The xbox still wins slightly IMHO, but it's now a tiny gap...

I'm a pc gamer, but I bought a PS3 one year ago, I had opportunity to play on xbox 360 as well don't know much about wii console. For me PS3 wons by having a lot more free features than x360 has.
