Ive been switching between ATi (Now AMD) and NVidia for a while now, and personally I think that the cards are better for different things.

Also I think AMD is better value for money, some of the cheaper AMD cards still kick ass!

People with Titans will not be upset, they all accept that sooner or later newer faster cards are released, if you have titan GPU, it's generally going to be e-peen that will make you want to upgrade to a 780ti (assuming it proves to be faster) a Titan GPU has not all of a sudden become a sh1t gpu, it will remain in the Top4 GPU's.

The only reason these cards are coming out now is because TSMC isn't going to be ready to release mass production 20nm chips until Q1 2014 (earliest) meaning Late Q2 (maybe June 2014?) releases of Next Gen Architectures from AMD and Nvidia.....and neither AMD or Nvidia are keen on releasing more 28nm flagship products after this round.

It must kill all the other players in the market that Intel are releasing 14nm parts at least 12months before their closest competition can release 16nm and they will be in their 3rd or 4th year of FinFets by the time anyone else is in a position to offer similar technologies.

None if this means much from a gaming perspective as we will be swamped with xbone and ps4 console ports in 2014, current hardware has more than enough grunt to manage.

What I'd actually like to see is a new, decent low-cost (£75-150) GPU without external power. It seems to be a big ask right now, as IIRC the 7790 is as good as you can get without at least a 6-pin connector.

7750, actually, but it's a damn good card (~ 5770 performance), will do a reasonable job of 1080p medium quality. And it's only about £70. And you can get it in a low profile form factor.

So not really a big ask at all.

IIRC,there were one or two bus powered HD7850 cards which were made.

Uh oh, if the titan boss is dead this means that 780ti minions are running away from battle field. Woof Woof make way for AMD, the king is back and kicking hard. Red blood boiling. I am not perfect, I don't write well but I am happy that I am AMD fan.
