Re: Features - QOTW: What are the specs of your main PC?

    Case: Xigmatek Midgard II
    PSU: XFX PRO 850W
CPU: Intel Core i7-2600K at 4.5GHz (can run at 5GHz with scary voltages... )
    Cooler: Corsair H80
    Mobo: ASUS P8P67 Deluxe
    GPU: XFX RADEON HD 7990
Memory: 16GB Kingston HyperX Genesis 4×4 GB DDR3-2133
    Storage: OCZ (RIP... ) Vertex 4 256GB, 2 x 3TB Seagate HDD
    Monitor: HP ZR2740W 27" 2560x1400
Optical: Some random Blu-Ray RW drive...
    Sound Card: Creative SoundBlaster Z
Fans: Many many NOCTUA ones (butt ugly but so soo quiet)
    OS: Windows 8.1, 64-bit

Now that I write it down, what started as a mid-range gaming PC 3 years ago seems to have gotten a little out of control...

Re: Features - QOTW: What are the specs of your main PC?

My main rig has the following specifications:
    CPU - Intel i5 2500K
    Motherboard - MSI Z77A-G43 Gaming
    Graphics - EVGA GTX460
    Memory - Crucial Ballistix 1600Mhz 8-8-8-24
    Storage - Crucial m4 256Gb SSD + 250Gb Seagate Momentus 5400.6
    PSU - Enermax Platimax 750W
    Case - Corsair 550D
    Monitors - Dell U2412M + E176FPf
    Operating System - Windows 7 Pro 64bit
Cooling - 2x Swiftech MCP35X pumps attached to a Swiftech Maelstrom dual 5.25" bay Reservoir, Alphacool NexXxos ST30 140mm + UT60 240mm full copper radiators, Alphacool NexXxos XP3 Light Universal CPU Waterblock.
    Keyboard - Logitech G15
    Mouse - Logitech G500

Here are some pics of the inside of my case and my desktop, they were taken in August 2013.

The inside of the case is looking different now that my GTX580 has been removed and my loop has been changed to only include the CPU. Temps are amazing, at stock settings the CPU idles at 32°C degrees and doesn't get above 50°C with the ambient at 20°C. I look forward to adding a R9 290 or 290X to the loop next year. Along with getting better performance it will reduce the noise of the system because the EVGA GTX460 stock fan is louder than my Noctua NF-F12s, Akasa Vipers and the water pumps at low RPM. Other than a GPU upgrade the system is perfect. I had an overclock applied that is shown in my system spec details but it has been turned off because I was fiddling with it and messed up a setting that was taking too long to fix; I need to get some work done for deadlines before Christmas so I've left it off until I have time to fiddle again.

    Cooler: Corsair H100
    Mobo: Biostar TZ77A

Fans: BitFenix Spectre 1x120mm front, 1x120mm rear. Corsair stock on the H100
( Soon to be replacing the stock fans and Corsair H100 fans with Black BitFenix Spectre PRO PWM Fans.)
    OS: Windows 7, 64-bit

My main desktop pc is mid upgrade atm, mostly used for surfing and gaming.
Currently stuck at the age old debate over which card to buy between the GTX 770 and R9 280x.
Soon to be adding a 250 GB Samsung 840 EVO SSD and a WD Black 1TB 7200rpm,
sticking with plain fans as i dont really need LED fans with the Bitfenix Ghost being a silent case design with full length door.
Gotta love all the Xmas sales.

Re: Features - QOTW: What are the specs of your main PC?

My main PC is as per my spec

    Lian-li PC-A05 case
    aBit P35 mobo
    Q6600 processor
    4GB Corsair Dominator ram
    ATI 5770 GFx
    Corsair HX650 modular PSU

It's one of the best value for money purchases I've made and despite the original graphics card not lasting (an 8800GT), it's been running well for 5 years and still lets me play the games I want to play.

Would like to replace it eventually but like a lot of people out there money is far too tight for comfort
