Overdue technology from sci-fi films include crystals that store and retain data reliably for a period of time that far exceeds the longevity of the race or civilisation that created them along with backlit perspex tube drives that remain operational over the same time span. Media capacities presumed to be in the region of 50-5000 exabytes depending on the crystal form factor.

The back street genetic workshop technology, worked as if its a heel bar, in Bladerunner. If only technology like that could be so easy and commodified that you could pick up something like a spare pair of tailored for you eyes when you pop out of work for lunch.

Bit of a Star Trek fan so here goes:

    Holodeck
    Transporter
    Food Replicator
    Warp Drive
EMI (Robert Picardo personality is a must though!)
If the Earth is a sphere how do you travel to the ends of it?
