Ghostbusters proton pack... since it's Halloween
Hmmmm, so many to choose from :
H.A.L. from 2001.
HG Wells' Time Machine.
StarTrek comms badges (Bluetooth ?)
Robby the Robot from Forbidden Planet
Daleks, TARDIS - Dr Who
The Interocitor, This Island Earth
GORT, Day the Earth Stood Still (original not that naff rework)
Forget light-sabers, Schwartz from Spaceballs takes the cake.
THE HUD screen used by many films, but in particular Tom Cruise in Minority Report.
It's not just how cool it looks.. it's the fact that I WANT ONE!!

The whole light sabre/helmet setup in the original Star Wars when Luke first started his Jedi training on the Millennium Falcon - or the tech used to create the monster chess board in the same movie. For the 1970's, that was still totally mind blowing - and not a lot since has really out done it.
That, and the hoverboards in Back to the Future... even as an over-the-hill adult, I still want one.
It has to be from "the 6th Day", the virtual headset that his mate has.
Definitely the food replicators from star trek.
Those teleporters aren't really teleporting you, they are doing a copy/paste and then deleting the original from the buffer!

A Shotgun with unlimited ammo without reloading - many films.
Zombies are never far away >.>
As the TARDIS has already been suggested, I'm going to go with a cheap way to get around it - Bill & Ted's phonebox.
Also, it just occurred to me that Mission: Impossible predicted Google Glass.
Shadow Battlecrab from Babylon 5 (okay was not in a B5 movie). Supposedly dark and evil, it is beautifully elegant, efficient, organic technology which does make me wonder why choose a human as its CPU. ;-)
Sonic screwdriver from Dr.Who, what pickle can't it get him out off.
