Last I heard, which was a while ago I admit, Foxconn made pretty much all of Apples mobile kit as well, presumably for a very good price. Attacking that wouldn't be a wise move.
Foxconn supply many companies with many parts. I would suspect Apple are one of the bigger customers so they wouldn't be all that fussed about it.

On a second moment of contemplation, I suspect that Apple might want to avoid taking them to court over it as the whole Samsung thing backfired on them royally and actually raised awareness of their competitors products. Was probably the best example in history of the phrase, 'There is no such thing as bad publicity'.

If the "type C" connector is backward compatible with the current one, wouldn't USB-OTG be a possibility? Bought an OTG USB stick a couple of weeks ago and it was less than £30. Just checked and the price of the device I bought is just over £20.

Although - like you - I'd be very wary of a device with no prospect of memory/storage expansion.

Anyone know why they used the Atom?
From what I've inferred from the articles I've read recently, Intel is pretty much giving these away for use in tablets as it tries to grab market share from the ARM consortium. This is half the reason why budget Windows 8.1 with Bing ! tablets are coming out, the other is that Microsoft are giving away the OS.

Be nice to see a Microsoft version of this with 4GB ram, 64GB minimum storage and running full fat Windows.

I'd also like to see a version running Windows although I'm not sure how happy MS will be about this lol.

It is a lovely little slate.

It's rectangle with curved corners and edges. It's a tablet. It's the same as every other tablet. Dunno why it has to be compared to Apple all the time.

Re: News - Nokia N1 Android Lollipop tablet revealed

Nokia hasn't designed this, it simply has their name on it. All design/engineering has been done in China by a Chinese company where Apple clones are even more common place. If it launches in Europe I would bet another visit to court would be on the cards.
