Is it really Windows 10 will be available from 29th July 2015. I'm scared about that. I am afraid that when I put the system upgrade to Win10, I will forget the Windows password again. When I upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 8, I forgot my Windows password. But lucky to find a tool to help me recover lost password quickly.

Pen, meet paper. Written note, meet wallet. Problem solved?

Got a smartphone or tablet? In which case get one of: LastPass, KeePass, B-Folders, PasswordsPlus, etc and problem's solved. Seriously if you're having to rely on memory for passwords these days then either you've got a brilliant memory or you're running very unsafe (same password for all accounts)

If you're living la vida Saracen and have avoided the evils of a snooperphone then may I recommend a small notebook and a pen? Preferably with a locked drawer to store it in.

Failing all that, if you're still "stuck" for a solution, (pun intended) then a Post-It attached to the jewel case with the installation media is good. Or a Sharpie permanent marker note on the case, (less easy to lose than a Post-It). Last time I cut an install disk I wrote the key on the CD itself with a CD marker.

Seriously though password managers are the way to go, (I use B-Folders myself because I don't necessarily want that info stored in someone else's cloud)

Career status: still enjoying my new career in DevOps, but it's keeping me busy...

This post looks like a failed spam attempt so I have reported - apologies Barse if you are genuine!
