Zen is probably too far off yet.

Hopefully we see another quantum with a zen CPU and die shrunk GPU's next year, that'd be a beast of a system

Is there any word on the rest of the specifications of quantum? I'm mostly interested in the processor...
the socket doesn't look like am3+, it is like opteron's socket (or intel's, but I don't think amd used intel...)
the system used an i7 devils canyon

I like the suggestion of a mac pro as an alternative in that article - not only do the mac pro GPU's have half as many processors as fiji (assuming the quantum doesn't use cut down GPU's), you also have to deal with getting steam on a mac and it probably costs double what quantum will when it comes to retail (maybe not that much, but £3.3k is a hell of a lot of money for a triangular heatsink and an aluminium tube)

    Does it use Quantum Technology?

waiting next zen architecture for cpu core (replacing am3+) at this moment it's time to change my FX-8350 and my QuadFire (2x Sapphire R9 280X Toxic + 1x Sapphire HD 7990) ^^
