    Re: The average Steam game shifts 32,000 copies

    I picked up 3, refunded one...

    Not that impressed with this sale to be honest, the game was a good idea but in reality it was rather dull, I like the last Christmas sale where each team was racing

    On the UK ruling everything side of things. I am defo above average, 103 games and about 5000 hours total!!

    Also, people seemed really angry about the GTA V rip off...

    I believe they raised the price just before the sale then dropped it to its pre-sale price during the sale and added a card thing that gave in game dollars to make it seem like a great deal when it was actually the same price as before...

Normally I pickup about 5+ games in these sales. This year, I picked up one, which was still about a quid cheaper on Kinguin.

    How's everyone else found this years summer sale? Any good bargains? Anything good that's passed a lot of peoples radars? I'm up for having another look before it all ends
    Have to agree it was total rubbish. I usually pickup a handfull but found alot of the same boring stuff advertised. Any of the good stuff was at best 50% off then if you wanted goty versions you're still paying hefty prices. Worse summer sale in years.

    I spent less than <£10 for 3 games. Would have been tempted to spend more but money is tight currently. I'd call the sale ok. I tend to avoid most key sellers except for GMG and Gamersgate so I don't have much to compare prices with.

    Get the small violins out...
    Pretty much ignored this sale because:
    a. I'm saving up for the family holiday in October - plus I just had to pay for the car to be serviced;
    b. I've still got a load of old games I've not finished (last Wolfenstein for example);
    c. Splurged a couple of weeks ago on a new guitar and wifey is still giving me the "stink eye" about it, so I'm trying to use it a lot to prove that it wasn't just a "because I can" purchase;
    d. General feedback that the discount levels weren't that good;
    e. Got a good discount on AC:Black Flag for the Xbox360, so I really want to get into that;
    f. No space on my applications drive - I really need to pull my finger out and zap some of the titles I'm not planning to play again (e.g. CoD:Ghosts). Either that or rob a bank and buy a new SSD that's larger than 500GB.

    Career status: still enjoying my new career in DevOps, but it's keeping me busy...

    Steam sales these days aren't what they used to be. The humble store normally has far better prices in my experience and also has sales so I tend to buy things from there when possible.
