Yessss waiting for that Nexus 5
Looks good man.
9mm taller, 4mm wider and 1mm thicker. I can live with that. My guess would be a late October/early November release, like previous Nexus phones.
That new N5 looks good. Love my N5 - best phone I have owned hands down. Hope I have the cash for an early upgrade...
Needs microsd slot and good battery life or I'll be looking elsewhere.
Grr... now I'm stuck between getting a new Moto X or waiting for the new Nexus 5. Hate it when they do this, but I guess they don't want to collide with each other's releases.
Good battery life, I'll agree with. But if the N5-2015 came with a reasonably priced large internal memory then I think I could live with it. These full/micro-USB drives are now good/cheap enough to be usable for secondary storage for those "must have" items and also as repositories of off-phone backups. Cloud storage is not an option - despite what those idiots at Ofcom claimed this week, my "urban paradise" gets intermittent 3G never mind the 4G that was claimed.
Getting back to the article - if the N5-2015 was an LG G3 with a down-rez'd screen and tweaks then it's on my "interesting" list. Problem with the Nexus phones - from what I've read - is that the camera's have been pretty lousy, even compared to a contemporary "midrange" phone, and I don't really want to go back in quality over my current (much liked) LG G3.
Just hope that they work with Project FI - i'd love to join but the Nexus 6 is just too big to carry around daily.
Well excited for that Nexus 5. Bought the first one when it came out in 2013 and was planning on not upgrading any time soon since the Nexus 6 was too big. But this could definitely sway me since I prefer the Google phones for the price and stock Android.
Hopefully it will come with a decent sized battery as that's my one big complaint with the old one.
I think LG's Nexus will have Snapdragon 620 and Huawei's Nexus will have Snapdragon 820 .
will be nice to see a new nexus phone lets hope they actually go back to nexus pricing, going higher didn't work to well with the 6 did it lol
