Maybe I'll see if this has prompted anyone to start a Battlefront I server up again for the sake of nostalgia...that was a fun game...11 years later they've managed to remove the single player, add some shiny graphics and triple the price, congrats EA...

Yep and all for a battlefield 4 reskin. No thanks EA. I stopped buying from them awhile ago.

I did have fun with it, but maybe partly because it was a free beta? I won't be buying day one possibly when the inevitable patches have emerged next year and the price has cooled off.

Gosh. I'll be honest and say I didn't even bother trying it but that was down to EA than anything... (Loved the old battlefronts and still occasionally play them.)

The problem is, it will still be a huge hit on consoles. Seems console players are happy to pay 50-65 quid for anything :s

Didn't feel like a BF4 re-skin at all to me. It's based on the frostbite engine so there will obviously be similarities in the graphics and mechanics (in the same way that games using the Unreal or Source engine have a similar 'feel'), but its not like Hardline which didn't really offer a different experience over BF4.
To me at least, this felt like a different enough game to justify its existance, I just wasn't convinced enough by the content that was available in the beta that it would be worth the price tag they have attached to it.

Yeah just read the piece and you're right a 4 maps with early access plus a couple of emotes.... Must be showing my age but that does not seem like good value when you factor in the cost of the original game!

It is hideously bad value.....although EA have dug themselves out of a mountain of debt by using the "charge loads for very little" approach :S

Wasn't overly impressed with this game, played for about 3 hrs on PC and just gave up. Graphics looked great but it just felt too much rush/shoot/die repeat, no tactical part to it.

Also it was so stupidly 60s/70s tech inspired.As if I was playing in a ducking 60s "futuristic" environment. Star crap.
