Over 9 million people took part in the Star Wars: Battlefront beta

Why is everyone surprised? It's standard practice for a console game to cost effectively £90-£120 these days, and it has been the case for Battlefield games since BF3. It's not just EA either although they are the worst offenders. If you don't like the price then you can buy it on PC, which will cost at least 50% less.

I've pre ordered, and I'll buy the season pass. I enjoyed the beta and am really looking forward to the main game. Its definitely no "battlefield" and the 40 player cap is disappointing, but regardless of a perceived lack of depth I still had fun, and for me thats the most important thing.

I'll probably spend most of my time in a tie fighter though ;D

Also, it's not as bad as Destiny - a game where you pay £90 for the base game + expansions, and then get told a year later that you have to pay another £40 or you can't play the game at all. Never thought I would see the day Activision ripped people off more than EA!

Didn't EA say that there would be no DLC's for this game. Where has this £40 Season apss come from ???

They said no micro-transactions. This is just a good old (macro) transaction.

That price boggles the mind. Especially as most people seem to be saying it's average.

Didn't feel like a BF4 re-skin at all to me. It's based on the frostbite engine so there will obviously be similarities in the graphics and mechanics (in the same way that games using the Unreal or Source engine have a similar 'feel'), but its not like Hardline which didn't really offer a different experience over BF4.
To me at least, this felt like a different enough game to justify its existance, I just wasn't convinced enough by the content that was available in the beta that it would be worth the price tag they have attached to it.

I agree with you, it wasn't, but i was answering the guys comment, which suggested it was a BF4 reskin, and what I was effectively saying was that if it had been a BF4 re-skin it would have been better than it actually was. IMHO

That is too bad... EA gamble on the Star Wars universe to make profits, without bring a better gameplay or make any changes from the precedent version. I'm disapointed, they took the easiest way and forget the gamer experience.
