I switched to waterfox which is basically firefox with a 64bit wrap, but being able to address more RAM is enough to have a way better experience.
The only problem is that is usually behind firefox in updates, we are still in v40.
I used to love firefox but found it got slower with each update. Might give it a try again.

I got fed up of the tracking on firefox, even when I had tools to stop the trackers it was still really concerning how much information about me was easily being transferred from one site to another.

Firefox was the only browser that offered plug-ins, which at least on the surface, seem have stopped it happening.

Don't use Firefox on Android though, its complete turd.

This is good, but could also do with actually being faster.

Still a fan, still use, but if it's not sorted but as it appears atm, to be getting worse, then maybe I'll move to chrome; hate the thought of that.

A bit late on replies but I would strongly suggest you consider taking Pale Moon for a spin. Aside from having both x86 and x64 builds (the latter not being merely a x64 version of the traditional x86 build but actually having further optimizations), there are several features restored and reworked since Mozilla decided to shun its original userbase alongside addon developers.
