Absolutely nothing. Intel gave us yet another pathetic performance jump with Skylake and the prices are just a complete joke. I really hope AMD gives us a decent alternative with Zen next year. Graphics wise the only real upgrade from my GTX780 is a 980ti and at those ridiculous prices that's not going to happen. I think the days of me buying a brand new gpu are over and the only new (to me) ones I will buy now are second hand from a forums members market. This is probably turn out to be the longest I have ever had the same setup.
Went from a gtx560ti to a gtx970 and then shortly afterward a gtx980.
And from 120gb to a 250gb SSD.
As others have said, nothing else has come out to make me upgrade anything else.

Crucial 250GB SSDs, one BX100 and MX100 both for Sandybridge laptops. You don't need a new laptop, only a SSD. It's a performance changer like no other.
Then I changed a broken H81 MB for a H97. Same 4670K processor. That one btw also has a Crucial 240GB M500 SSD. Couldn't be happier.
All
Gigabyte Z170X-UD5 TH
i7-6700k

Corsair AT860i Platinum PSU
End of the month 980ti.
EVGA 750 Ti to EVGA 980 FTW

Intel stock cooler to NH D14
BX100 SSD 250GB
WD Red 2TB
Seasonic S12 430W to Cooler Master V750
Crappy Mercury Case to Enthoo Pro.
4670K is the only constant.
Early Xmas presents to myself :-
Intel Q9550 to i6600K
8GB DDR2 to 16GB DDR4
ASUS mobo to ... a newer ASUS mobo!
@zsde I hear ya!
Swapped out a Seagate HDD in my 4 year-old Sandybridge laptop for a 240Gb SSD.
It's like a brand new machine now!
(Also gave it some faster RAM which didn't hurt either).
Got a ssd drive for my main os.
Biggest upgrade for over half a decade.
From a X58 i7 920 with 12GB RAM to a new build based on Haswell (Skylake wasn't worth the huge premium). Wasn't intending buying on Black Friday but spotted a few deals that took it through the tempting barrier - but I had been looking at buying for a few months anyway.
ASUS Z97-A
Intel i7 4790K
16GB Corsair RAM
Noctua NH D15
Fractal Design R5 (added an extra front fan)
EVGA 750W SuperNOVA G2
Kept the ASUS GTX 970 I had and the Crucial M4 256GB SSD (and media hard drives), but everything else was changed for the first time in over 7 years (go Intel and your progress! )
I'll be keeping the old setup in use elsewhere as it's barely any slower than the new one, but I wanted the silence the case and motherboard combination offers.
Edit: Oh yeah, bought a Viewsonic VP2770-LED second hand that religated my Dell 2408WFP-HC to second monitor status. Probably the single-biggest upgrade of the year really, and probably the best value thinking about it (paid £255). It's a cracking bit of kit.
Also replaced my Logitech Performance MX mouse as my previous one had developed a mind of its own and the alternative options (including the new MX Master) were just too expensive considering how small an improvement over Performance MX they are.

Cpu and mobo - went from amd 8320 to i5 4690k. I went amd in my first ever pc build, and while I heard that the 4690k was primarily a sidegrade, I had never had one to play with test with, so I mostly got one to see how different it really was. mostly disappointed for what I paid, btw. (8320 @ 4.4 ghz to 4690k @ 4.4ghz)
Graphics - Went from a sapphire vapor x 290 to an EVGA gtx 980.
Monitor - Added a 25 inch 1440p monitor to my setup, replacing a 23 inch 1080p.
Ram - since ram dropped, i added a white and red stick of Kingston hyper to make 16gb total.
Mechanical RGB keyboard
Corsair sp 120 fans
Webcam
Bitfenix LED strip
I went FROM:
Asus P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3
Intel 2600k @ 4.8GHz
Noctua NH-D14
G.Skill Ripjaw 16GB DDR3 2133
Gigabyte GTX 970 G1
TO:
Asus Maximus VIII Hero
Intel 6700K @ 4.7GHz
Noctua NH-D15
G.Skill Ripjaw 4 16GB DDR4 3200
Zotac 980Ti AMP! Extreme
I am not disappointed with my purchase. I think the 980ti was definitely needed, being as I game at 2560x1440. I would like to go SLI, as I still drop framerates down to the 30s in Fallout 4 with everything maxed.
I think I might need a bigger power supply. I am seeing VREL under GPU-z under heavy load.

Upgrade from a Radeon HD6950 to a R9 390. Also went to an AIO Corsair H105 water cooler which I'm yet to fit. Might have to justify the cooler by wrapping it up and giving it to myself as a Chrimbo present. Actually scrap that idea, it will just get installed on the quiet when she isn't looking otherwise I'll have to justify why I haven't put the cash toward a diamond tiara or something!

upgraded 120gb Samsung SSD to a 240gb Sandisk SSD. not much else other than a 4tb ext hard drive.
I went from a 120GB Kingston V300 to an AMD (OCZ) 240GB SSD, upgraded to a Phanteks case. Come to think of it, I actually did my new build this year.
3570k -> 5820k
GTX 680 -> GTX 970
Plus all the requisite parts for the transition from Z77 to X99
My latest "upgrade" was the linustechtips edition Noctua fan.
Overall, I'm really happy with it, and I hope to keep it for a good number of years.
