    1920 x 1080

Has anyone ever wondered that with the new widescreen monitors, you are locked to 1080p but with the older TFT monitors, you could have higher resolutions like 2048 X 1536 or something

Re: QOTW: What resolution do you game at?

I'm cruising at 1920x1080 on both my PCs but I would like to step up to 2K (just don't have the money to buy the monitors I want right now).

1440 right now. Once the new generation of cards come out ill switch to some sort of double wide 1440 screen. I just prefer ultra settings over higher resolution for now and I don't think my measly 980 ti can handle that.

Re: QOTW: What resolution do you game at?

1080p. Almost went up to 1440 as there was (what seemed to be) as very nice little 1440p IPS screen on sale in December, but decided against it. At this point, I'm thinking I'll just stick to 1080p until the next round of GPUs are out and we see whether 4k gets a little more viable in terms of £.

This should have been a poll to see the results more clearly!

I game at 2560 x 1080, but looking for an excuse to get the Acer X34...

2560x1440 @ 110 on Tempest X270OC. I can get 115 reliably without artifacts but backed off just a little. Besides, I will be playing the majority of my games @90hz in a few weeks.

Re: QOTW: What resolution do you game at?

1920 x 1080 dual monitors, bought em a few months ago, was still kicking on 1440x900 until recently. Meanwhile my LG G3 is 1440x2560. I find 1080p sufficient though, and frankly I couldn't push any more than that on my 760. Planning on upgrading to a 970/390/Pascal soon though.

    1440p on 27" Asus PB278, witcher3 @ 30fps with my 7990. I don't feel the need for higher res on 27"

Re: QOTW: What resolution do you game at?

For me is IPS display priority over TN with higher HZ. So lower frame rates are ok. Since i am not competitive gamer, but the ususal, occasional one.

using crossover 2795 QHD with gtx 970 and i5 6600k. For GTA V and fallout4 this is the best monitor for 300$€ budget for me. I am very satisfied. The stand could be better, but I have mounted the monitor on the wall and it shines

So I am playing with 60 HZ at 1080 with very high settings in GTA V - awesome.
Planning to overclock monitor to 96hz.

Re: QOTW: What resolution do you game at?

Big monitor is bad if competeting and the likes... if want to be a good gamer and have to rotate your head or eyes more on a 40" screen will create a self sustained additional lag or reaction time compared to if playing on a 24~27" monitor.... amount of pixels or DSR solutions or whichever can come in quite handy though if available with current setup of GFX. weather it is a 1080, 2160 or whichever is not that important as in one would be stuck on 4K 30 to 60Hz for long time..

As it is one can fairly cheap get 100+ Hz on a lower resolution monitor as it is... as it seem like there is to many bottlenecks to reach the potential of 4K anyway.... port limitations... GFX cards performance being held back by greedy manufacturers and more, 2-3 years from now yes go for full out 4K but keep in mind they probably have lined up 8K by then or something down those lines... and keep in mind as a consumer we can not stay ahead of technology either.

1080p but I do plan on getting a 1440p monitor to accompany it.

16:9 1080p at the moment and with my new build, until next year when I will be looking at 21:9 at 1080p or 1440p.

Re: QOTW: What resolution do you game at?

1080p when I'm at uni (staying in acomidation) and 1060p when at home as one monitor is 16:9 and the other is 16:9 and i just transport the desktop back and forth in flight case that I built the PC into. (plan to add it to the mods sticky at some point)
